My sister Kristen and her husband Rob has always dreamed of having children, a dream that has grown stronger over the years. Now, at 34, time is of the essence. Rob, who is a bit older than her, had a vasectomy before they were married, making their journey to parenthood more complex. Despite this challenge, they both long to expand their family.

In addition to the vasectomy, my sister recently discovered that one of her fallopian tubes is hidden behind her uterus, which explains why she hasn’t been able to conceive before now. After consulting with doctors, they’ve learned that IUI is the best path forward for them as of now.

Rob, and my sister want nothing more than to bring another precious blessing into their family. However, the costs of fertility treatments are overwhelming, and insurance offers no assistance.

As my sister is a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work and her husband working as a manager and mechanic at a tire and auto store, their resources are stretched thin.
